Plasma donations generate cash

For Lindsay Ferguson, a senior pharmacy student at the University of Pittsburgh, donating plasma is a nice way to give back while getting some extra cash in return.

Katina Brown said the pink-and-white, “poofy” dress she picked out yesterday will be perfect for her Cinderella-themed high-school prom.
The price was right, too. She had seen similar dresses for as much as $400, but Brown snagged hers for free at the first of three giveaways hosted by Allegheny County’s Project Prom.

Mayor Luke Ravenstahl read a proclamation Thursday stating that Friday March 20 will be “Wont You Be My Neighbor Day” in the city of Pittsburgh.  Margy Whitmer the project manager was there to accept the proclamation and to speak about the meaning of the day.
